Terms of Use
These terms are the rules for using Pets Live Remastered. Please read them, along with the Privacy Policy and the Community Rules.
Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Luis Cavanillas, who runs Pets Live Remastered ("we", "us"). By signing up or playing, you agree to them, to the Privacy Policy and to the Community Rules. If you don't agree, please don't play.
A fan project, free to play
Unofficial fan-made remake. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Storm8. Pets Live Remastered is a remake of Pets Live, a game Storm8 released in 2009 and retired in 2015. Pets Live, Storm8 and related names belong to their owners.
The game is free to play: you never have to pay to play it. You can support it with an optional donation, and the Store may also sell master point packs, as Purchases and donations explains.
Coins, master points, pets and everything else in the game have no real-world value. You can't sell them, trade them for money or cash them out, and they don't belong to you. Don't buy, sell or trade accounts.
Who can play
You must be 13 or older to play. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian, and they should read these terms with you.
Your account
- An account is for one person. Don't share it, and keep your password secret.
- You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- There is no password reset today. If you forget your password, we may not be able to give your account back.
- Your names (the one you sign up with and your trainer name) must follow the Community Rules. Names that pretend to be staff (with words like admin, moderator, staff or official) are not allowed.
Purchases and donations
- Who sells. Payments are processed by Stripe. Donations and packs are sold through Link, Stripe's checkout service. Link is the seller of record: it takes the payment, handles taxes, sends the receipt and helps with problems about the payment, and Link's terms (opens in a new tab) apply to it. We still give you what you paid for in the game, and answer questions about it.
- Donations. A donation is voluntary support for the game. It puts a Supporter badge next to your name for good, and gives nothing else.
- Master point packs. When the Store offers them, a pack adds its master points to your account as soon as the payment goes through. They are the same as the master points you earn in the game.
- No cash value. Master points, the Supporter badge and everything else in the game have no cash value. You can't exchange them for money, sell them or move them to another account: they belong to the account that got them.
- Refunds. To ask for one, contact Link's support (opens in a new tab) or email us. Where the law gives you a right to cancel, it applies as shown at checkout. A payment that is refunded, or reversed by your bank (a chargeback), takes back what it gave: the master points of a pack, or the Supporter badge of a donation (unless another donation keeps it). If that leaves your master points below zero, the account is banned.
- No money back for bans or deleting. A ban for breaking these terms or the Community Rules, or deleting your account, doesn't give money back.
- Changes. Prices and what the Store sells may change. And as a fan project, the game itself may change or close, as The game can change or end says.
- Players under 18 need permission from a parent or guardian to pay.
Fair play
- Play through the game's own pages, yourself. No bots, scripts, automation or modified versions of the game.
- Don't use bugs to get ahead. If you find one, tell us by email.
- Don't make extra accounts to grow your team, farm coins or harass other players.
- Don't overload, attack or try to break into the game or anyone's account, and don't try to get around its limits.
Behavior
Follow the Community Rules. In short: be kind, no hate or harassment, no spam, and keep it clean.
What you post
You are responsible for your names, motto, comments, replies, broadcasts and chat messages. Other players can see them. By posting, you let us store them, show them in the game and keep a copy when someone reports them. We may remove anything that breaks these terms or the Community Rules.
An automatic filter checks what you post before it is shown. It hides mild swear words and refuses some texts, as the Community Rules say. To check them, we send your texts to Anthropic, as the Privacy Policy explains. The filter is automatic and can make mistakes. A text it lets through is still your responsibility, and we may remove a text it missed.
Moderation and bans
Admins can delete comments and chat messages, mute players in the chat, clear mottos, give a player a new trainer name and ban accounts that break these terms or the Community Rules, with or without a warning. A banned player can't log in, and their messages are hidden. If you think a decision was wrong, email us and we will look at it again.
Admins can also change any account's game data, such as coins, levels, pets and habitats, to fix problems or run events.
The game can change or end
Pets Live Remastered is a hobby project. We may change, rebalance, pause or remove any part of it, or shut it down, at any time. We will try to give notice before shutting it down.
No warranty
The game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. We don't promise that it will always be online, that it has no bugs, or that your progress will never be lost.
Limits on liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any damages that come from using the game or not being able to use it, including lost progress or data. Some states don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Closing your account
You can stop playing at any time. You can delete your account in the game (settings menu on Home, then Delete Account), or by email if you can't log in (see Deleting your account). We may close an account that breaks these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the new terms.
