Upkeep stays within your income
Changed
Your pets’ upkeep can no longer go above your habitats’ income. Ranking up a pet in your battle order, or saving a battle order, is refused when it would. Buy habitats to field stronger pets.
The Pets page shows your upkeep next to your income, and says why Rank Up or Save can’t be used.
Pick Strongest picks the strongest battle order your income can pay.
If your upkeep is already above your income, a warning shows both numbers. You can always lower it.
Goals and a daily streak
New
The Goals page: a daily streak, three daily goals with a chest, achievements and a weekly team goal. Rewards are collected for you as soon as they are ready.
A tutorial for new trainers, with a spotlight on the button to tap next. Finishing it pays master points.
Achievement medals on your profile. Achievements count what you did before they arrived, so you may have rewards waiting.
Hall of Legends, a new habitat at level 150.
Changed
Energy refills 1 every 3 minutes, as players remember from the original. Dr. Will’s energy cooldown now goes down in 30-second steps. If you had bought more reductions than the new steps allow, you got those master points back.
Levels above 30 need a little more experience, each one a bit more than the last. If you were above level 30, you kept your level and your progress in it.
Experience events are now Battle experience events: they boost battles only, and quests always pay their normal experience.
Bots keep up with trainers whose bonus members let them rank their pets higher.
Dr. Will has two tabs: Shop, and Support for donations.
Settings and Help are now icons next to your trainer name on Home, and the leaderboards are tabs on the Recruit page.
A cleaner look: one shape for every button, a press shown by colour, player names in orange everywhere and easier-to-read text. A button you can’t use says why.
Fixed
Long names, team codes and coin ranges no longer get cut or run into other text on small phones.
Bosses arrive
New
Bosses: a strong enemy that every trainer attacks together before time runs out. Attack it from the Bosses tab of the Battle page, with spirit, like a battle. If it falls in time, everyone who attacked gets coins and experience, and the top three of each level bracket win master points and a boss medal.
Support the game with a donation, from Dr. Will or the Home settings menu. A donation gives you the Supporter badge, a heart next to your name. It gives nothing in the game, which stays free to play.
Changed
Buttons look and work the same on every screen, and the game asks before risky actions in its own dialog.
The Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy explain donations and payments.
Events and a monthly leaderboard
New
Events: for a while, everyone gets more experience, faster regeneration, more coins or more quest finds. A banner at the top of Home says what is on, and a boosted amount shows next to the normal one.
A monthly leaderboard on the Recruit page ranks trainers by battles won this month. The top three win master points and a medal (Champion, 2nd place or 3rd place) that stays on their profile.
Profiles show each trainer’s win rate.
Log in with your login name or your email. The Login and password page shows your login name.
See every reply under a comment, and go from the Home news feed straight to a comment or reply.
Post on your own wall from your Profile.
Changed
The battle log moved to the Battles tab of the Home news feed.
Quests find pets 1.25 times as often as before.
Fixed
A new trainer name from Dr. Will or an admin no longer changes the name you log in with.
A comment or reply sent again after a lost connection is no longer posted twice.
Chat, replies and a battle log
New
The Chat tab: one live room for every trainer. Get the chat pass from Dr. Will to read and write in it.
Reply to a comment on any wall. The comment’s author sees your reply in their Home news feed.
Ignore a player to hide their comments, replies, chat messages and broadcasts from you. Your list is on the Ignored players page, in the Home settings menu.
A battle log on the Battle page: your latest battles both ways, against players and bots, each with its report.
A text filter checks what players write. It hides mild swear words and refuses links, contact details and offensive words.
The top three of the leaderboard get a gold, silver and bronze medal.
Changed
The game has its own address: pets-live.com. The old address still takes you there.
Bots are built around your own strength, so each one is a real fight. Some are easier than others.
A bot you beat leaves the rival list, and a new one takes its place. A bot that beat you stays, so you can try again.
The game is public
Pets Live Remastered opened to everyone, free to play in your browser. At launch the game had:
Quests in five locations: earn coins and experience, master each quest and find new pets.
Battles against other trainers’ teams, with loot, a battle report and bounties on the Discipline list. Bots fill the rival list, so there is always someone to battle.
Pets: pick one of four starters, collect more, rank them up, learn abilities and choose your battle order.
Habitats that pay coins every hour, even while you’re away. The bank keeps your coins safe from loot, and the medic heals you.
Teams: recruit friends with your team code. A bigger team makes every pet stronger.
Dr. Will: spend the master points you earn by levelling up on Premium and other perks.
Social: profiles with comment walls, the Home news feed, team broadcasts and a leaderboard. You can report comments, mottos and names to the admins.
Your account: change your password, delete your account, or add the game to your phone’s home screen. The Community Rules, Terms of Use and Privacy Policy say how it all works.
